Then Ms. Lola Beuyukian, member of the Art Gallery’s committee, presented Missak Terzian, the Artist.
She also noted that Terzian is a member of the Art Gallery’s committee and he contributes immensely in the development and implementation of the projects of the Gallery.
On behalf of the Art Gallery’s committee, Beuyukian wished Terzian success, and then thanked sponsor of the event, Mr. Salim Habib, who was a great lover of art and a good friend of the Armenian community. Mr. Hagop Havatian, director of the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery, presented a plaque to Mr. Salim Habib as an expression of the Art Gallery’s gratitude for supporting the exhibition.
He also expressed his sense of joy that Terzian’s chosen theme was synonymous to their bank’s slogan and maxim. On this occasion, Mr. Habib highly praised the Art Gallery’s activity that helps inspire hope and confidence in the future through culture and art despite the difficulties faced in the country.
He said that without a culture and its diffusion one cannot imagine a country’s or a nation’s development and survival.
He said, “I am not at the end of a process. I am the process, similar to the original force of cosmic explosions, unfolding and expanding forever. As long as I create, I become part to the energy of the universe beyond definition.” Art is an integral part of Terzian’s heart, spirit and life. And when he succeeds in transferring his dream to the art-lover that’s when he becomes eternal. “When my dream is transferred to you, you become part of it. This is the pure meaning of my timeless dream.”
Missak Terzian The exhibition remains open till April 21, 2014 every day except Sundays from 9:30 a.m till 7:30 p.m.
