On June 12, 2019, Hamazkayin “Lucy Tutunjian’’ Art Gallery and “Vahe Setian’’ Publishing House organized an exhibition of the talented artists of Artsakh, as well as the presentation of Artsakh rugs by “’Karapakh Carpet’’ Company and numerous Artsakh handicrafts. The event, which took place at “Lucy Tutunjian’’ Art Gallery, was held under the presidency and patronage of Doctors Krikoris and Keghouhi Bogharian, as well as BBAC Bank.
Director of ‘’Lucy Tutunjian’’ Art Gallery and ‘’Vahe Setian’’ Publishing House Mr. Hagop Havatian pronounced a speech, in which he said the following: “We lay the foundation through this event for our cooperation with Artsakh and we are confident that this first initiative will continue in the future, and our ties will be strengthened day by day.’’ In the end of his speech, Mr. Havatian expressed his gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Krikoris Bogharian for their ongoing support for Hamazkayin’s all initiatives. He also expressed his gratitude to Chairman-General Manager of BBAC Bank Mr. Ghassan Assaf and his wife Mrs. Nancy Parikian-Assaf, who greatly encourage and support the Armenian culture through their cooperation with Hamazkayin ‘’Lucy Tutunjian’’ Art Gallery. He then thanked the Ministry of Culture of Artsakh and all those, who believe in the work of Hamazkayin.
Hermine Avakian, chairperson of Hamazkayin Artsakh Office, delivered a speech, in which she expressed deep gratitude to Hamazkayin ‘’Vahe Setian’’ Publishing House and ‘’Lucy Tutunjian’’ Art Gallery, which pave the way for presenting Artsakh’s cultural life to the Lebanese-Armenians.
Painter Liana Kotcharian, ‘’Karapakh Carpet’’ Company’s Director Sevag Khatchadrian, Artist Satenik Hayriyan, and Singer Arthur Khatchents also addressed the attendees.
In the end of the event, Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Vahagn Atabekian expressed heartfelt words. He stated that the Armenians have inherited a map that does not fit into any Armenian’s mind. In any corner of any country, any Armenian family always starts to surround itself with a unity that is called Armenia. Every Armenian has created and creates a small Armenia in the country he lives in. “In our pictured Armenia we find the current Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora, regardless of the world’s diplomatic and political fact. This event is the best example of Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora unity. I am certain that when the soldiers of Artsakh learn about this event, they will protect the borders with more enthusiasm,’’ mentioned Mr.Atabekian.
Singer Arthur Khatchents performed a bunch of national-patriotic songs.
