RoseVartSisserian’s exhibition contributes to the “Save a Life” Fund
The exhibition features 43 paintings, each with its own unique style and combination of colors. They include such works as “Halloween”, “Colors of Light”, “Life Tree”, “Olive Tree”, and “Grandmother”.
The welcome speech of the event was given by HagopHavatian, director of the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery, who praised RoseVartSisserian’s contribution of around 40 years to the cultural scene. He said that the artist has expressed her willingness to serve the community through her artwork, and upon learning about the “Save a Life” Fund, she wanted to contribute to that charitable initiative. Thus, Havatian said, the proceeds from the sale of the paintings displayed at this exhibition will be donated to the Fund. Havatian said that in addition to her artistic creations, Sisserian has served and left a legacy as a teacher for decades. Next, Archbishop KeghamKhatcherian, Prelate of the Armenian Diocese in Lebanon, gave a speech. He spoke highly of the work of the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery and of the artist. He said that offering assistance to the “Save a Life” Fund through art is a unique and praiseworthy initiative. Speaking at the event, RoseVartSisserian said that the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery has an important role in the community. She added that in the future, through other initiatives or means, she might contribute to other charitable and humanitarian projects that offer assistance to the needy. The exhibition will run until January 25, 2012 (daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). |
