The welcome speech was given by Ms. Mary Tcholoyan who presented the bios of the two exhibiting artists. On behalf of the Art Gallery’s director and committee, she thanked Mr. Sehnaoui for sponsoring the event.

In her speech, Tcholoyan also referred to the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, stating that holding such events these days is a testimony to the undeniable fact that Armenians have continued their creative path, despite Turkey’s policies aimed at annihilating the Armenian nation and destroying its cultural heritage.

In the closing speech of the event, Mr. Sehnaoui highly praised the exhibited artworks and also talked about the Armenians’ survival spirit, strength to resist all kinds of horrors, and will to continuously progress. He added that all of us must be responsible for respecting and preserving the collective memory of the Armenian people.
