“Looking toward the Future”: introducing Guy GHAZANCHIAN, Arpi VARTANIAN, and Zhora GASPARIAN

With the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, the Hamazkayin “Lucy Tutunjian” Art Gallery starts the year with a new theme: “Looking toward the Future”.

The exhibition which hosts 3 young artists from Armenia: Guy GHAZANCHIAN, Arpi VARTANIAN, and Zhora GASPARIAN opened on Thursday, January 29 at 6:30 pm. The opening ceremony was attended by many artists and guests including Consul of the Republic of Armenia Ashod Vartanian, embassy staff members, and Mayor of Bourj Hammoud Mr. Antranig Meserlian.

Art Gallery director Hagop Havatian welcomed the young artists and stated in his word that supporting young talents from Armenia and the Diaspora and helping them spread their work is part of the Hamazkayin Art Gallery mission; this exhibition was organized to support this mission.

Havatian, however, pointed that art-lovers who will get to see the paintings of these young talents will discover that they are already established artists walking steadfastly into the world of art, promising to conquer new heights with their self-confident choices.

In turn, artists Guy Ghazanchian and Zhora Gasparian expressed their gratitude to the patron of the event and all those who supported them to make this event a success, especially the Art Gallery administration. At the end, they expressed their admiration for the Lebanese Armenian community and conveyed their impressions with enthusiasm.


The exhibition displays 44 artworks by the 3 artists on both floors of the Hamazkayin Art Gallery. It remains open every day except Sundays from 9:30 am till 7:00 pm until February 12, 2015.
