The opening of the exhibition took place on 6 September 2012, at 7:00 p.m., in Zein Villa, downtown Beirut. The event was attended by numerous artists, art critics, art lovers, political figures, and representatives of various organizations.
Tcholoyan expressed hope that such initiatives would be repeated in the future in order to bring together Lebanese artists and to help celebrate and advance Lebanese art.
Havatian thanked Prime Minister Mikati for agreeing to sponsor this exhibition. Quoting the Prime Minister’s words that all of us have to work for the homeland, Havatian affirmed that Armenians have at all times followed this path.
Mikati stated that art is the best means to create and improve relations between cultures in the present difficult situation in the country. He added that as long as such events are organized, the country’s future is safe and it is possible to overcome the difficulties.
The exhibition runs until 16 September 2012, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
