Collective Exhibition by “Toros Roslin” Art Academy instructors
An exhibition featuring 47 paintings with diverse styles and themes created by five artists, instructors at the “Toros Roslin” Art Academy opened at the Hamazkayin Art Gallery.

A collective exhibition featuring a series of works by Hamazkayin “Toros Roslin” Art Academy instructors opened at the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery, on March 18, 2010, at 6:30 p.m.

The exhibit is organized by the gallery, and sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Alain Balian.

The opening was attended by Bishop Kegham Khatcherian, the Prelate of the Armenian Diocese in Lebanon; Bourj Hammoud Mayor Antranik Meserlian; and representatives of various organizations; Hamazkayin members; artists and art lovers.

The art instructors participating in the exhibition are: Janet HAGOPIAN-YAPOUDJIAN, Mireille GOGUIKIAN-DABBAGHIAN, Rita MASSOYAN-YEDALIAN, Daria HADICHIAN, and Garine YEPREMIAN.

The opening speech was presented by Janette Hagopian-Yapoudjian, art director of the Hamazkayin “Toros Roslin” Art Academy. She said that students attending the “Toros Roslin” Art Academy follow a specific program that prepares them for working in the broad field of arts.

Hagopian-Yapoudjian said that if visitors decided to decorate their houses with works displayed at the exhibition, they would be supporting the art school at the same time.

She thanked Mr. and Mrs. Alain Balian for sponsoring the exhibition, as well as the Hamazkayin Lucy Tutunjian Art Gallery, the event organizers, and all those who support the big Hamazkayin family.

The next speaker was painter Haroutioun Torossian, a former instructor at the “Toros Roslin” Art Academy. He said that a painter has to be well informed about various painting techniques, study classic works and natural phenomena, have his/her own views, work systematically, and closely examine human psychology.

The exhibition, which features 47 paintings with diverse styles and themes, will remain open till March 28, 2010, Mondays through Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
