Lavrenti Aghassian

Born in 1947. After his primary and secondary studies in plastic art in Baku, he moved to Yerevan in
1970.
In 1970 he entered the Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts from where he graduated with honors in 1975.
In 1975 and under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, he founded the School of Plastic Art of Pert
in Daouch, Armenia.
In 1981 he became a member of the Union of Painters of Armenia. Since 1976 he has participated in
group and individual exhibitions in Armenia and in almost all member countries of the former Soviet
Union. Since 1987, he has given group and individual exhibitions around the world.
